How To Worship With SUMC In a Pandemic:
  • You can participate in worship through Facebook or Zoom.
  • By Facebook — Search for the Solomons UMC page and like it. Look for SUMC to go live a few minutes before 10am on Sundays. Not on FB? No worries — you can watch from our website homepage any time. Some weeks, on FB, you will see a recorded service available the Saturday before (no live worship that week). Watch at your convenience.
  • By Zoom — For the video version, download the Zoom app or go to the website. Use the meeting ID 838 2309 4144. For audio, use the call in number 1-301-715-8592 and meeting ID 838 2309 4144. Either way, it helps to connect a few minutes before 10am.
  • If you are on our church email list, weekly emails will update you. Or check the SUMC FB page for updates each week. This website page will also have updates. If you would like to be on the church email list, please contact the church office at
This Sunday worship will be LIVE. You can watch on the SUMC FB page, or on the homepage of this website. The order of worship is attached.
 Operation Solomons Thrives
With the beginning of a new year, Solomons UMC is beginning a new process to discern how to live our lives anchored to God, our community, and our place in creation.

The United Methodist Church has a process to help congregations who aren’t fully living out their mission and calling, or are unsure about their mission and calling. It’s not just SUMC; many churches today are at a crossroads about how to fruitfully and effectively share the message and love of Jesus Christ to transform lives, communities and the world. Our congregation is unsure as to how to live into this mission, having lost our discipleship focus. We see and feel the results – lack of participation in ministries and stewardship, and inadequate financial resources to meet our expenses, etc.
Please take the time to read the attached letter, and then participate in one of the Town Halls in which we will share information and answer questions.
Town Hall Recording and Information
On September 20, we had a congregational town hall to discuss our financial and discipleship realities, and assess our future potential and viability as a congregation.
You can watch the recording here:
